What is Slatwall?Slatwall is the most popular display medium that is used by merchants or anyone wishing to display goods.
The standard size is 3" O.C., 4' T x 8' W and is called "horizontal'. It is manufactured from a substrate of MDF, medium density fiberboard. It comes with 1/ grooves, top & bottom so it is easy to stack. When stacking, the seam is right in the middle of a groove so it appears as a solid panel.
Slatwall weighs approx 90 lbs per panel and ships freight class 70.
Slatwall is available at extra costs in 8' T x 4' W, know as Vertical slatwall.
How do I Get My Slatwall?
Slatwall may be picked up from the store you purchased from. More commonly, slatwall is shipped to your jobsite via trucks, commercial haulers. Slatwall does NOT ship via UPS.
Does the Trucker Unload my slatwall?
No, It must be unloaded either piece by piece by your people or you can use a fork lift if you have long forks on the forklift (6' Minimum). You can NOT use a lift gate delivery as this tends to damage the slatwall.

Should I allow my slatwall to be shipped "freight collect" without knowing exactly how much the freight is?
Freight can be a big factor in the price of slatwall. Never purchase slatwall from anybody without knowing the exact fright costs.
How are my slatwall orders packed?
All orders for slatwall - are packed on a custom skid, with a bottom piece of cardboard and a top piece of cardboard. Each top & bottom piece of cardboard has a large lip (approx 12") to cover the edges of the slatwall. This cardboard wrapped unit is then strapped to the skid with steel banding. Under each band is a corner protector. Please note: If your shipment arrives and the skid and packing are torn up, inspect the shipment carefully for damage.
What happens about freight damage?
Slatwall is fragile and easily damaged. It is recommended that you inspect each piece before signing the trucker's Bill of Lading. If there is damage, notate it on the BOL. This should allow whoever you purchased the slatwall from to file a freight claim and get you free replacements. Notify the firm that sold you about the damage.
What kind of inserts are available for slatwall?
Aluminum - Adds strength Plastic T Inserts - Covers all areas of groove. Only for color, ADDS NO STRENGTH. Vinyl inserts - covers back part of groove. Does not cover edged of groove..ADDS NO STRENGTH
